As a former Southern Baptist I am very thankful for Southern Seminary and am excited about the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies and this upcoming conference. I'm sure it will be wonderful. 

And for the record, although I now happily take vows in an American Presbyterian denomination (PCA), which has the Puritans to thank for its historical and confessional heritage, I agree with your historiography. It is my understanding that many, if not most, Baptist groups in America today originated with 17th century English Puritanism.</description>
